PV Forecast: 7-day yield for your photovoltaics

PV Forecast estimates your plant’s solar yield in kWh for the next seven days — matched to site, kWp, tilt and azimuth.

Sketch: house with PV roof and seven daily yield bars
Seven days of yield in kWh — so Hours knows when the sun covers the house.

Example: a week on the roof

8 kWp in Styria. Tuesday rain, Wednesday and Thursday clear. Hours sees: Tuesday lean on the grid, Wednesday keep the battery free for PV.

Illustrative kWh, not a live forecast. Real values need the plant profile in the portal.

How the forecast is built

No guessing: profile, weather, yield — in that order.

  1. Your plant

kWp, tilt, azimuth and coordinates live in the portal profile.

  2. Seven days of weather

Cloud cover and irradiance at the site, day by day through D+6.

  3. Yield in kWh

That becomes expected power from the roof — for Hours, storage and display.

What the API returns

GET /v1/plant/pv-forecast — daily kWh, optional hourly, plus compact lines for Loxone.

d0 … d6 kWh

Expected yield for today through six days ahead, in kilowatt-hours.

Hourly if you need it

Finer planning uses the same horizon in hours instead of daily totals only.

Fuel for Hours

Hours uses PV to know when grid charging becomes unnecessary.

In plain words

Is this the weather strip at the top of the homepage?

No. That strip is local weather for orientation. PV Forecast is the yield API for your plant in kWh — its own page, its own docs.

Do I need Hours and PV together?

PV alone shows what the roof will produce. Hours needs PV so it does not fill the battery just before a sunny day. Together they plan grid and sun.

Are the bars live values?

No, the sample week explains the pattern. Live kWh arrive after login with a plant profile. Spec and Loxone guide are in Docs.

Put PV yield into your EMS

Community to try it. Spec and Loxone guide to install. Hours turns it into hour demand.
